  • Saving Jane are a band based in Crnovac, Arjastan. The band originate from the small town of SĂșija in Czeraf. The lead singer is Marti Dodson, who was also the Arjan spokesperson in the NSC7 final. The other members are Pat Buzzard, Dak Goodman, Brandon Hagan, and Jeremy Martin. Saving Jane's debut album "Something To Hold Onto" went mostly unnoticed, failing to even reach the Arjan Top 100 albums chart, but when the band entered a regional 'Battle Of The Bands' competition in Czeraf, they were spotted by a record company talent scout and began recording new songs immediately. Their song "Girl Next Door" was used as the theme tune to popular ATV show Ordinary People, and immediately began circulating on the black market in its shortened form. Bowing to public pressure, Saving Jane's record label released the song officially, when it shot straight to #1 in the Arjan singles chart. Follow up hits "Come Down To Me", "Ordinary", "Imperfection" and "Autumn & Me", not to mention the multi-platinum second album "Girl Next Door", helped to cement Saving Jane's status as the most successful Arjan band of 2007 so far - with over 2 million more records sold than their nearest competitor. ATV approached Saving Jane shortly after NSC7 to propose a participation in NSC8, which Saving Jane accepted. They easily won the Arjan national final for this contest, and went on represent the country with the song "Happy". Saving Jane successfully qualified from the semi final in 5th place, including with the first ever 3-digit Arjan score, and finished =11th in the final with 87 points, prequalifying Arjastan to the final of NSC9. Since NSC, they have been preparing their third album, touring the country, and hit the top spot of the Arjan charts yet again with "Alright" and "Change You". More recently, the band had a failed attempt to return to NSC with "Writing On The Wall", which ended 3rd in the Arjan NF for NSC16, and have recently released the first single from their upcoming fourth album, "Supergirl"
