Players that don't intend to use melee or missile weapons to begin with, i. e. spellcasters, might get some use out of these. They *can* be dropped as bait in the event the character is fleeing a humanoid, melee oriented monster. They may be picked up, and if so will likely be equipped.
Cursed gloves/gauntlets do not allow to equip/unequip rings.
