Xandert would lead his small crew, which had been reduced to 7 members because of Xandert's action, to realize the dream of the Conquistadors. Using his untrained but viable force powers along with his cunning, Xandert silently took over the Electrum-rich planet Ponce de León, establishing an empire on the planet and establishing his loyal crew members as governors,forcing the lower caste natives to mine Electrum to keep the economy on De Leon buzzing. The New Republic would eventually reconquer the planet and Xandert would be jailed. Shortly after escaping prison, Xandert dedicated his cunning to capturing back what the Republic had taken from him with interest - the entirety of Known Space.
