  • Nicholas Minecci was a human male serving in the Federation Starfleet during the late-24th century. In 2371, Commander Minecci was the media relations liaison at Starfleet Headquarters. He gave a morning press briefing following the loss of the Federation starship USS Voyager, informing the assembled press that attempted communications with the Intrepid-class starship had gone unanswered for over 48 hours. While not disclosing details of Voyager's assignment, Minecci did state that the ship was under the command of Captain Kathryn Janeway and had been dispatched to the Federation-Cardassian border. He also stated that Tom Paris had been released from the Auckland penal colony into Janeway's custody in an advisory capacity. Minecci told the press that Voyager was listed as officially missing, vehemently refuting claims that it had been destroyed in the Badlands either by plasma storms, the Maquis or even Cardassian vessels.
