| abstract | - Akina Uzumaki (Uzumaki Akina) is the name given to Naoki Kuran by Kakashi Hatake after her sister gives her life to resurrect both Naoki and their older sister, Natsuki. During the revival process, her memories were ripped from her consciousness and she asked the boy (Kiba) next to her who the girl (Ichiki) on the ground was. She also grew a pair of bright blonde cat ears, as she had Ichiki's chakra flooded into her system as Ichiki was the host of the demon cat. Nagato's eyes are later transplanted into her, thus exchanging her Cursed Eyes for the Rinnegan. When not using her dojutsu or genjutsu, her new eyes retain the green colour that she had as Naoki Kuran. After she's given a new name, Akina marries Deidara Namikaze and gives him a daughter called Eshima. In her new life, Akina overcomes the inability of the Kuran clan to learn taijutsu and excels at close combat. Akina dies of old age, surrounded by her nieces and nephews as well as her daughter.
