| abstract | - Aurelius Tempest (born 42 BBY, reborn 38 ABY on Bastion) was a General of the first and second Galactic Empires. He engaged in many of the historically prominent battles and events of the Galactic Civil War, including the Battle of Hoth and the Battle of Endor, though preferred to keep his accomplishments at a minimum to avoid becoming a target of the Rebel Alliance. Tempest also took control during the Yuuzhan Vong War to protect entities on multiple planets such as Bastion from the invasion force. Not completely mindless and brainwashed by the Empire's ideals, Tempest had a full understanding of society as a whole and continued to marvel at the little things that brought him enjoyment and knowledge. He was open to culture of different planets, though it was his job to conquer them first. Tempest would compile this information that he acquired into what became known as The Tempest Files. After his participation in wartime efforts, he was captured by the Rebellion and agreed to work with them in return for peacetime, during when he met his wife and had a son. He met his downfall after a horrible incident that took the lives of his family members, leading him to attempted suicide. Saved by a fellow Imperial associate, he was able to regenerate himself in a new cyborg form, and enact revenge on those responsible. The bloodthirsty Tempest would begin a hunt across the galaxy that would end the lives of millions. He was stopped by one of his understudies in a battle before he could finish his mission. After his death, Tempest still regained Imperial esteem and honor amongst his fellow soldiers and commanders.
