| abstract | - While on his way through the Great Forest with the Sword of Acorns in hand, Sonic realizes he is being watched. He demands that his stalker reveal themselves, but is surprised to find a girl that he recognizes from Knothole. Mina Mongoose reintroduces herself to Sonic and explains that she's heading out to confront Dr. Eggman, wanting revenge for the roboticization of her friends and family. Sonic questions her plan of action and Mina gets a bit defensive, but their conversation is interrupted by an attacking squad of Com-Bots. Dr. Eggman watches Sonic fight the Com-Bots from his headquarters in Robotropolis while, in Knothole, Sally and Elias rejoice over King and Queen Acorn's recovery. Their rejoicing is cut short when they realize that the king is unable to move his legs. Dr. Quack apologizes to the royal family, having been unable to do anything about the king's new-found paralysis. Back in the forest, one Com-Bot grabs Mina while another uses a magnetic field to steal the Sword of Acorns. Faced with a difficult choice, Sonic saves Mina by destroying the kidnapper Com-Bot with a single kick; Mina is amazed. Suddenly, a group of camouflaged Com-Bots sneak up on Sonic and beat him until he falls unconscious. "Sword of Omens" - Chapter Two Mina picks up her fallen hero, struggling to carry him. As she thinks aloud that they need to leave fast, her legs accelerate at supersonic speed. Although confused about her new power, Mina determines that she needs to focus on saving Sonic. In Knothole, King Acorn appoints Elias as the acting head of state due to his paralysis and Geoffrey St. John reports the theft of the Sword of Acorns to the royal family. Meanwhile, in Robotropolis, Dr. Eggman celebrates his successful capture of the Sword of Acorns and prepares to watch the Com-Bots hunt Sonic down. Suddenly, his computer alerts him to two unidentified objects far above Mobius that are on a collision course with Robotropolis. Panicked, Eggman orders his Com-Bots to return to Robotropolis immediately. Sonic soon wakes up inside a log that Mina stowed him inside to hide him from the Com-Bots. She mournfully explains that the Com-Bots took the Sword of Acorns, but Sonic tries to pep her up and suggests they should try to take it back. Eggman rushes to his observation deck above Robotropolis to watch the unidentified objects crash and make sure his Com-Bots return with the sword. Arriving in the Forbidden Zone at the edge of Robotropolis, Sonic instructs Mina to hide in the nearby foliage while he grabs the sword. He rushes towards the Com-Bots carrying the sword, who activate their stealth camouflage. Sonic focuses on their footprints and tackles the Com-Bot with the sword. The top half of the Com-Bot is cut in half and Dr. Eggman walks towards Sonic, explaining that he activated an energy field surrounding Robotropolis. Eggman picks up the sword and strolls away, chuckling to himself while the two unidentified objects hurtle towards Sonic.
