Using their chakra, they bend light particles and causes the light around the area to be reflected back into the sky. This then causes the immediate area to be cloaked in darkness. If enough people use this technique, a wide radius of the sky can be darkened, rendering everyone within the area blind.

abstract | - After weaving the needed hand signals, the user gathers a mass of chakra and channels it into the air. Using their chakra, they bend light particles and causes the light around the area to be reflected back into the sky. This then causes the immediate area to be cloaked in darkness. If enough people use this technique, a wide radius of the sky can be darkened, rendering everyone within the area blind. The Sacred Elder group used this technique to study light paths, but this a great ninjutsu to use during an invasion or to escape from pursuing opponent. The instant darkness can be spread, but it costs a lot of chakra to do as such. Also, if one person with a normal chakra capacity uses it, the darkness only follows them and anything outside the immediate area will regain the capability to be seen.
