Desde 1998, la Toei Dōga cambió de nombre por Toei Animation, que hoy también es un accionista del canal satélite japonés de anime, Animax. Con sus actuales 462 empleados es el verdadero coloso de la animación japonesa.

Le symbole du studio est le chat Pero, personnage principal du film Le Chat Botté sorti en 1969.
