- A Forager is a type of familiar that will gather items when summoned, such as the granite crab. Foragers can collect and hold up to 30 items before having a full inventory. If players do not collect the items from the familiar before their time runs out, they will drop whatever items they have collected when they disappear. There are three types of foragers:
* Passive: Generates items completely on its own the entire time it's out
* Right-click: Generates items with a right-click ability
* Scroll: Generates items with the use of its scroll ability

| Powers | - Forager possesses many of the attributes of a humanoid insect, including great strength, speed, and superhuman leaping ability. He is a skilled fighter, hardened by the bugs' harsh life of hunting and survival. In addition to his natural abilities, Forager carries a variety of tools including a shield, adhesive pads on his gloves and boots that allow him to stick to or climb walls and surfaces, and his signature weapon, acid-pods, which allow him to shoot streams of burning acid at his opponents.

- Forager was from a race of low-evolutionary species called Bugs that was born on New Genesis during their war with Apokolips. Forager lived beneath the surface of New Genesis in catacombs that were below the golden shining city of Supertown, and because of the differences the Gods often treated the bugs badly. When Mantis, an agent of Darkseid, attacked the bug society, Forager was sent by the elders to enlist the gods help. Orion and Lightray were sent by Highfather and together all three prevented the massacre on the bugs. Forager later proved himself and became a worthy ally to the gods and joined the fight against the forces of Darkseid and Apokolips. Eventually, Forager helped Earth and the Justice League but lost his life saving Batman's and prevented the Earth's destruction from the powerful source of the Anti-Life Equation. Forager was mourned by his people and the gods and Orion returned his body to his colony by Highfather's decree, and slowly came to respect him and his people and was finally considered a friend.

The Foragers gained new life after the fall of Aiur supplementing recolonization efforts. Engineers found creative ways to upgrade the robots due to their relative simplicity compared to other war machines. While smaller than Reavers, they could be refitted with medical technology to provide in-field care in areas too dangerous for teleportation (Halo: Regenerator). Foragers could also be upgraded with gravity pods to increase mobility in battle (Marvel: The Wizard). In battle, Foragers attack with precursors to Scarabs known as Beetles. Originally for precision demolition, these little explosives are upgraded to fly into sensitive areas to cause maximum damage to structures. Special abilities:
* Worker abilities - harvest resources and build structures
* Build Beetle - constructs Beetles that deal 80 (+20 vs structures) explosive splash damage (max: 6)
* Regenerator/Forager Mode - Forager acts as either an immobile health regeneration battery or worker/fire support unit
