| abstract | - Among the 18 student activity clubs that North South University has, only one of them stands in the way to serve humanity. Its North South University Social Services Club (NSUSSC). Having more than 100 active members, this club tries to serve the humanity through organizing events e.g. Blood Donation Drive, Book exchange offer, Annual Doah Mahfil, Social Awareness Campaign etc. Mr. Ehsan Majid is the President of North South University Social Services Club. For each term the faculty adviser appoints new Executive Body Members for the club. Currently Mr. Mehedi Hussain(MdH) sir, Lecturer, North South University is the faculty advisor. Each time NSUSSC organizes a blood donation drive, it creates a record. In 2009, during the drive, 368 bags of blood were collected, which was the highest number of blood bags ever collected in Bangladesh in such a two-day program. In 2010, NSUSSC organized the three day event, the Blood Donation Drive on 20–22 June in association with Quantum Foundation, with a huge bash and were able to collect 463 bags of blood. We introduced our own blood donation mascot called the “Blubby,” which motivated the students and created a festive environment around the campus. In, the latest Blood Donation Drive which was held in 2011, we managed to collect 505 blood bags in only three days, which has been a great achievement for us. In 2012 NSUSSC has collected 651 bags of blood in a 3 day campaign which is the highest collection in Bangladesh.
