| abstract | - Dear Politicians and `Wanna Be' Politicians, Congratulations! For the 1st time in my life I can say I am so fed up with your political election ads in the media that I am refusing to vote come Nov. 4 and unless there is a cap put on mid term election year ads I don't know if I will ever vote again in the mid term elections. If you think your mudslinging ads which seem to begin sooner and sooner each election year convinced me who to vote for, they have had the opposite effect on me. After months of seeing and hearing negative political election ads on tv and in my mail box, I have come to the conclusion that none of you running for re-election or 1st time election are fit to run the government. It is my belief the vast majority of Americans are fed up with your negative media ads that begin months before the elections. Millions of dollars spent each mid term election year on getting your name and picture in our faces and the stupid maybe `half truth' advertisements. Talk about wasteful spending! You have shown yourselves to be wasteful spenders before the elections and you want my vote,. Sorry, no way Hosea! At the very least, mid term political election ads should be limited to one month or less before election day, or better yet, eliminate these ads and just have televised debates leading up to the elections. Also, after 34 years of being legal age to vote and observing politics in America, I believe the U.S. would be better served by term limit politicians. In my opinion career politicians have done nothing in my lifetime to benefit the country as a whole. Career politicians are motivated by their big salaries and huge retirement pensions. Congratulations to all past and present career politicians, you have provided for your own families lifetime financial wealth as the country continues to suffer increased economic hardship.
