  • Arpeggio is a character from the Sly 2: Band of Thieves video game by SuckerPunch Productions. Attending a prestigious boarding school, Arpeggio was at the top of his class intellectually. However, due to his small size and tiny wings, he was unable to fly. In rage, he saught a cure for his condition in the journals of the Italian Renaissance masters. His knowledge in the mechanics of flight earned him a seat in the Klaww Gang as Chief Inventor, and he was responsible for the refitting of the Clockwerk parts. Arpeggio had a plan to hypnotize the entire city of Paris. First, he had Dimitri feed the city's population illegal spice grown by Rajan. Then, he combined his technical expertise with the Contessa's specifications of light frequency hypnosis to create a massive blimp. Finally, he had Jean Bison collect Northern Light energy to fuel the process. Unbeknownst to his conspirators, Arpeggio had another plan. Thanks to the efforts of his lieutenant, Constable Neyla, Arpeggio took down the other members of the Klaww Gang one by one, allowing Sly and co. to collect the Clockwerk parts for him. He then arranged for Sly and co., along with Carmelita, to be imprisoned, but they escaped. Undaunted, he managed to obtain all the Cooper Gang's parts, combining them with the Clockwerk Brain in his possession to rebuild the evil bird. Arpeggio planned to fuse with the Clockwerk frame in order to gain the powers of flight and immortality. To achieve the latter, he had to collect an enormous amount of the energy that sustained Clockwerk before his mechanization-hatred. He planned to hypnotize Paris' citizens into a state of intense hatred, enough to complete the process. However, just as he was about to merge with the frame, Neyla betrayed him and merged with it herself. As her first act of evil in the new identity of Clock-La, she crushed Arpeggio. Of course, not all of us are so sure he's dead... Arpeggio was an anthropomorphic parrot and is increasingly popular as a fan fiction topic. [[Category: Fictional Parrots
