| abstract | - Luke Skywalker was the twin brother of Leia Skywalker and the son of Anakin Skywalker and Padme Amidala. Luke was born in 19 BBY on Polis Massa. He was sent to live with his aunt and uncle, and was raised on the remote planet of Tatooine. He often dreamed of leaving and fighting the Galactic Empire, but his uncle would not allow him to. Eventually, his family were killed by Imperial forces under the command of Starkiller and Luke prepared to go to Alderaan with Ben Kenobi. However, Ben was killed by Starkiller as Luke was leaving. Eventually Luke would destroy the Death Star and rescue his sister Leia with the help of Han Solo. Dedicating himself to become a Jedi, Luke would go to Dagobah, along with his sister Leia. There the two would learn under Master Yoda. Three years later, Luke would meet Starkiller in person at the Battle of Hoth. The two would duel, but tragically, Luke would lose his life attempting to save his friends and twin sister Leia. After his death, Leia would go to learn from Master Yoda and attempt to become a Jedi. Sadly, she was killed by the dark clone of Anakin Skywalker, ending all hope for the galaxy.
