  • Arthur Mills (20 February 1816 – 12 October 1898) was a barrister and Conservative Party politician. The son of an Anglican clergyman, Mills was born in Warwickshire. He was educated at Rugby School and Balliol College, Oxford, graduating MA in 1838. He was called to the bar at the Inner Temple in 1842. He was a member of parliament on three occasions: for Taunton (1852–1853 and 1857–1865) and Exeter (1873–1880). From 1873 to 1885 Mills was a member of the London School Board representing Marylebone. He was also a director of the London and South Western Railway. Wikipedia page [1] refers.
