  • This skill allows a character in charge of running an estate to do so without making a mess of things. It embodies certain general agricultural skills plus the knowledge of when certain jobs need doing. It also involves dealing with labourers on the estate. At critical times in the year, sewing and harvesting being the most important, the character should make a Risk test, with a +20% modifier if the character has the Stewardship skill (ignore the rules about taking damage when a Risk test is failed). If the roll is successful, the character will have earned the estate an appropriate amount of money (determined by the gamesmaster). If failed, the amount should be halved. If the test is failed by 30% or more, the whole amount should be lost and people on the estate will be threatened with starvation.
