rdfs:comment
  • You are in game when you are running the game Neverwinter Nights on your computer. You are in Arelith when you are both in game and connected to one of the Arelith servers. Most Arelith players use the term in game to mean in Arelith, since the shared context is commonplace. Time passes more quickly in game than it does in real life. In character (IC) refers to actions, knowledge, events and other things that the imaginary character is aware about. Opposite to out of character (OOC).

In character (IC) refers to actions, knowledge, events and other things that the imaginary character is aware about. Opposite to out of character (OOC). Note that not all events in game have to be in character. For example restarts of servers and disconnection of players are usually either ignored IC or represented in way that makes some sense in the world where characters are living. (For example, they can be roleplayed with break for camping and rest, or leaving for some imaginary duties.)
