Unlike the licensing programs of ASCAP and BMI, SESAC’s Internet licensing program is not based on revenue derived from the website. Instead, SESAC bases its royalty fees on the average number of monthly “page requests” made for the website. SESAC calculates the royalty fees differently depending on the use of advertising on the website.
