  • Fighter's Shield
rdfs:comment
  • The Fighter's Shield is a shield from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. It is obtained from Link's dying uncle, along with the Fighter's Sword. Because it is the first shield obtained, it is the smallest and weakest in the game. It provides protection against basic projectile attacks, such as arrows or spears, but is vulnerable to other projectiles such as fireballs and beams. Later in the game, Link can purchase a Red Shield, or receive one by throwing the Fighter's Shield into the Mysterious Pond behind the Waterfall of Wishing. If at some point the Fighter's Shield is eaten by a Pikit or a Like Like, Link can purchase a new one. Should Link attempt to purchase a Fighter's Shield if he has a better shield, the merchant will tell him not to waste his time.
