With the introduction of Iceboard Season 04 Zynga switched from ranking you against a random selection of your Mafia to ranking you against your Family. This also means that you can no longer participate in an Iceboard event if you are not in an in-game family.
* Mafia iceboards pit you against 49 other members of your mafia selected at random.
* Family iceboards pit you against 49 other members of your family selected at random, you must be in a family with at least 5 members to participate.
* League iceboards pit you against 30 players of similar strength selected from the entire mafia wars player base.
