  • In Star Wars: Battlefront, Star Wars: Battlefront II and Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron, the player then must spawn from one of their command posts and control command posts to win in certain game modes. If one faction controlled more command posts than the other faction, the other faction's reinforcements would slowly decrease.
  • Command Posts, or CPs, are key spots on the battlefield. They appear in different colours to represent the faction they belong to. If they appear green (or blue in Battlefront II), then it belongs to your team. If the CP is red, then the command post is your enemy's. In Battlefront there are also yellow coloured neutral command posts that spawn neutral teams which side with no one. These NPCs include Wookiees, Tusken Raiders, Jawas, Gungans and the Royal Naboo. This format is not to be confused with any good side or bad side format because blue/green is always you and red is always the enemy. White CP's are owned by neither team and may be captured by either.
  • The Command Post is an underground area connecting the Sunspear Sanctuary to a number of the surrounding locations. It also features smugglers, traders and a number of NPCs.
  • The Command Post unlocks the second tier of units and structures, and is the functional equivalent of the Nod Operations Center, and the Scrin Nerve Center. Additionally, it provides a single but extremely useful support power, the Radar scan. In Kane's Wrath, three weapon upgrades are made available from the structure. The scanner pack upgrade is researched at the structure rather than the armoury. The Advanced turbines upgrade for the power plant is also accessible after building a Command Post rather than with the tech center.
  • The Command Post is a location in Act II of Diablo III. Maghda set up a trap in this area in an attempt to kill The Nephalem.
  • The Command Post is at the heart of monitoring operations in the Christa. The Christa's Command Post is often called the "Compost" by Harlan and the rest of the students on the crew, much to the chagrin of Commander Goddard. ("Space hates smart alecks.")

The Christa's Command Post is often called the "Compost" by Harlan and the rest of the students on the crew, much to the chagrin of Commander Goddard. ("Space hates smart alecks.") The Command Post is one of the parts of the Christa that is modified most often. Both the crew and the ship herself can change and move things, and so the main control room goes through many versions between the two seasons. In the first season alone the Helm goes through three visible changes in color and controls. Between Season One and Season Two the Compost changes drastically, separating the panels
