However as it is all a part of his coup of the Imperial Directorate, the remnant of the Galactic Empire, he has to keep it hidden from the Directorat

During the events of that story he is called in by Kayos after he realizes that Jedi, in this case Owen Skywalker and Bail Solo, have been investigating the disappearance of the Nova Hammer, a powerful new vessel being constructed by the New Republic. However as it is all a part of his coup of the Imperial Directorate, the remnant of the Galactic Empire, he has to keep it hidden from the Directorate at large and thus brings in the Monduth to hunt them down before they can escape from Directorate territory and tell the Republic that they had discovered that he was the thief. They begin their pursuit, and eventually find them on the planet Baltaria. J'Mee getting word on their location from one of his spies who finds them at an underground swoop bike racing circuit. By the time J'mee and several other hunters arrive the group is trying to escape on the ship of the smuggler Jett Kadar, and a fight ensues in the hangar. However they eventually manage to escape. Subsequently however after discovering that they were being hunted by mercenaries, Jett finds out the truth after they explain what was going on and winds up betraying them. Rendezvousing with Kayos' allies.
