Synopsis | - In the caves of northern California, Logan convinces the amnesiac Daken to follow him in an effort to help cure him. As they head towards Emma Frost, Logan recalls memories of his past, back when he was completing his final task given to him by Romulus. He was to impress the man named “X” by fighting the Incredible Hulk and the Wendigo. During the fight, Wolverine is eventually taken out by the sheer might of the Hulk. Back at Department H, while Wolverine is in the process of killing a number of friendly soldiers, Logan is summoned to his commanding officer’s office. Once there, he meets Professor Xavier, who tells him that he is controlling the general’s mind and also that he can help him, Logan.

quotation | - There ain’t many around who can describe what it feels like to get hit by the Hulk. Simple fact bein’ there ain’t many around who can survive to tell the tale. There ain’t no pain at first. It’s like he hits ya so damn hard ya actually leave yer own body. It’s when ya come back that ya feel the pain. An’ ya realize yer goin’ toe-to-toe with a walkin’ earthquake.
