Each creature was about the size of a voorpak with a long body, four short but strong limbs with powerful digging claws, a wide face with powerful incisors, and a pair of sensory antennae. Space puppies were covered in a non-conductive fur-like substance which was green on males but purple on females. Space puppies were popular pets with many species, although the Verpine primarily considered them a food source. The Empire modified space puppies in the Sarlacc Seed Project.
