  • Ri Myong-hun (sometimes spelled Ri Myung Hun or Ri Myong-Hoon, born September 14, 1967) is a former North Korean basketball player who planned to play in the NBA in the 1990's, adopting the name Michael Ri, after his favourite basketball player Michael Jordan. At that time he was also declared the tallest living human being in the world, with a height 7 feet 8.5 inches (235 cm) tall, although Naseer Soomro, Alexander Sizonenko, and Radhouane Charbib were taller. The then unknown Bao Xi Shun was also taller than Ri Myong Hun.
