  • Cecil Colman (30 May 1878-11 March 1954) was a businessman and local Liberal Party politician in the Sutton area. Colman joined the Norvic Shoe Company in 1901, rising to be chairman of the company and President of the Boot and Shoe Manufacturers Association. He entered local politics as a member of Sutton and Cheam Urban District Council. The urban district was incorporated as a municipal borough and Colman became an alderman, serving as mayor in 1935-36.
