  • The Peace Agreement is an event mentioned in The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. It is a treaty between the Anouki and Yook tribes that was agreed upon 100 years prior to the events of the game. The Peace Agreement splits the Isle of Frost into two regions, with the Anouki owning the nicer, western section of the island, and the Yook controlling the harsh Great Ice Field on the eastern side of the island. The Anouki and Yook had been rivals long prior to the Peace Agreement, but when the fighting came to a head, the two tribes decided to make a treaty to separate themselves. The Anouki got the calmer, better half of the Isle of Frost, but the Yook had placed the legendary Azurine in the Temple of Ice on their eastern side. Because of this, the Anouki could not retrieve the Pure Metal without breaking the treaty. When a Crazy Yook officially breaks the treaty by sneaking over to the Anouki Estates and taking the identity of Aroo during the events of Phantom Hourglass, the Anouki grant Link permission to travel to the eastern side of the island and reclaim the Azurine needed to forge the Phantom Sword.
