  • Elementals take on forms such as those of the flickering flames themselves, masses of water that look vaguely human shaped, ect, extremely unstable and indefinite. Their wit and intelligence are comparatively high, and they can converse with humans. They also have emotions similar to those of humans. They have no bodies and are unable to touch other objects. They have no way of interfering with the physical world except through lending their power to humans. Also, elementals have no gender. They are neither male, nor female. Perhaps for that reason, many of them take an interest in and yearn for the romance and sexual relations of men and women who possess the bodies and genders that they do not.
  • As for the elementalist association, it's duties include the following: teaching elementalists the right way to use their power, serving as a place where elementalists can exchange and share information with each other, mediating jobs that require the power of an elementalist, and performing research for the sake of using the power of the elementals properly and more effectively. Also, they perform philanthropic work using the power of the elementals to help people suffering in poverty in desolate lands like the former Polove.

Those who have studied elementalism are often vehement that their underlying theory of magic is correct and Teclis' teachings were, at best, misguided or, at worst, a scheme to lure humanity's knowledge of sorcery into a dead-end. Their evidence for this is that they can perform a number of spells and command certain primeval forces about which the warmongers at the Imperial College only dream. They tend to gloss over the fact that Imperial wizards have more power at their disposal; subtlety and depth of knowledge, they say, is more important than brute force.

They might do so indirectly, such as moving the arms, or directly by talking with the element, or by telepathically communicating. If the elementalist becomes powerful enough, it may feel like they are parallel with the element when communicating. The elementalist will become one with the element and every move and/or breath they make while communicating will mean a movement or reaction from an element. Although elementalists have powers, they are not magicians. They are not in a religion or a cult either. Religion is based on beliefs, whereas elementalism is based on truth and facts. It is thought that, once upon a time, all humans were elementalists, but over the years, the "sixth sense" became dull and was no longer as strong because of modernization. It generally comes easier with people who are at one with and respect nature. Elementalism is a product of the sixth sense, and is therefore connected to psychic power and dreams. Historical recordsare not always clear, but are always present. It was often mistaken for witchcraft, resulting in the distruction of most human operators of the sixth sense, as well as, it seems, most human operators of the seventh sense: common sense. All humans have the power to be elementalists, they just have to keep trying at it and not have a shred of disbelief in their minds. Do not let the notion of what is considered rationality hinder your will. Also, it may work, they may just be looking for the wrong things (the reaction may be very weak at first). Don't give up, this world needs elementalists.
