At the end of the 1909 season, he was selected as a first-team All-American by The New York Times and syndicated sports writer, Tommy Clark. He was a second-team pick on Walter Camp's 1909 College Football All-America Team. Walter Eckersall also picked Allerdice as a first-team halfback on his 1909 All-Western team.
