rdfs:comment
  • An established son of a Kencyr lord is one who has been authorized to bind Kendar in his own right. They are the only people other than lords who are allowed to bind. Like all who can bind Kendar, they must be Shanir. The practices regarding established sons have varied over time. In earlier times, established sons would go set up minor houses of their own. Nowadays, lords keep their sons close, with the sons' Kender adding to the major house's total Kendar. Still, the sons and their Kendar are given some measure of independence.
