  • The Home Office was a term used in Wolfram & Hart to refer to what Angel, Lorne and Denver presumed to be the place where the Senior Partners dwelled and the source of their power. However, the truth about the Home Office was not precisely what these three belived, but something much more sinister.
  • The U.K. Home Office fulfills a number of functions in relation to information security. It is responsible for ensuring that the UK’s Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) is protected as well as policing for high-tech crime (e.g., crimes that are committed either against computers or with the support of computers or computer networks). It also deals with a wide range of crime reduction, police and anti-social behavior initiatives which have an information security impact.

  • An office or office-type workspace is becoming a more common part of many homes. "Modern" living requires far more paperwork than even a generation ago in many places. • An office or office-type workspace is becoming a more common part of many homes. "Modern" living requires far more paperwork than even a generation ago in many places. Many households have students who require a place to read, store paperwork, perform computer research or read online text and write up their homework for academic submission. Then there are people who work from home -- running a business out of their homes or telecommuting from home part- or full-time. Even for people who don't do paid work from home, when there is space, it's nice to have a place that's set up for paperwork such as paying bills, tracking finances and taxes. And even for those with another office location, some work is often brought home. Some paperwork for tracking sales, taxes, etc. will probably be necessary. So, even if you don't have a home office, it's likely you'll need some space in your home to manage paperwork. If you're running a business out of your home, in addition to the generic office supplies, you'll need the business supplies or another place to store them and you'll probably need some forms, such as invoices, receipts, maybe scheduling forms. There are many places online with templates you can use. __TOC__

(COMIC: Ripper's Curse) John Frobisher was the Permanent Secretary to the Home Office until his death in 2009. Under him was senior Home Office official Bridget Spears. After Frobisher's death, Spears used the Home Office files to compile evidence against Brian Green, the Prime Minister. These files were extensive and even included data on the Torchwood Institute, including the Torchwood Charter. (TV: Children of Earth: Day Three, Children of Earth: Day Five)
