  • Kannegiesser started out with the North Bay Trappers. He then joined the junior Kitchener Rangers (then a New York Rangers' farm team) from 1965-67. He played mostly in the minors until 1973, bouncing between the Rangers and the Pittsburgh Penguins. In 1973 he was traded to the Los Angeles Kings. This proved to be a great break. Kannegiesser became a regular on the blueline with the Kings for three seasons. He was sent down to the minors in 1976 and was traded to the Vancouver Canucks in 1977. He retired in 1978. Kannegiesser played in a total of 366 NHL games, scoring 14 goals and 67 assists.
