  • A nethermancer is likely a mage who focuses on magic from other worlds, or the nether itself.[citation needed]
  • A Nethermancer is a Necromancer studying and practicing the magic of the Void. Nethermancers come to be from the very skilled Necromancers distinguished for their perfection of the art of raising undeath. However, they manage to take Necromancy to a whole new level by venturing into the Void of the death and searching to bind its powers to their own bidding. Necromancers despise Nethermancers and consider them to bear a perverted view of Necromancy, often too selfish and utilitarian.

abstract
  • A nethermancer is likely a mage who focuses on magic from other worlds, or the nether itself.[citation needed]
  • A Nethermancer is a Necromancer studying and practicing the magic of the Void. Nethermancers come to be from the very skilled Necromancers distinguished for their perfection of the art of raising undeath. However, they manage to take Necromancy to a whole new level by venturing into the Void of the death and searching to bind its powers to their own bidding. Unlike most Necromancers, Nethermancers do not worship deities or entities created by ways out of their comprehension. Instead, they try to understand all from a rational and somewhat scientific point of view. Sandro, one such powerful and well renowned Nethermancer, was able to justify the creation of Mother Namtaru from Asha's nightmares, and hence, has proved that Asha was indeed a powerful, yet vulnerable and organic being, as opposed to those who consider it to have been an avatar of all things. Venturing between Reality and the Nether, Sandro has mastered the skill of Outer Darkness (because Darkness is just another type of matter bound to the Void, where it is tangible and can be collected), eventually rendering him indiscernible even to the eyes of the Faceless. Necromancers despise Nethermancers and consider them to bear a perverted view of Necromancy, often too selfish and utilitarian.
