- "LED" steht für "Licht Emittierende Dioden". LEDs kosten ein Vielfaches einer normalen (und auch einer Energiespar-) Glühbirne. Die längere Lebensdauer (~100.000 Stunden, also fast 10 Jahre Dauerbetrieb) und eine 90% Stromkostenersparnis (Glühbirne = 40 W, Energiesparlampe = 9 W, LED = 1,5 W) rechtfertigen allerdings den Preis und auch die Lichtintensität kann durchaus mithalten. Elemental demons of different kinds produce different colors when called into partial manifestation. The most common are fire elementals, which give red light and were used in the first successful LEDs. Yellow light is produced by flatulence-demons, green by demonic spirits of absinthe or menthol, and white by the difficult-to-invoke aetherial spirits.

It is important to note, however, that all forms have highly hallucinogenic properties with the experiences varying depending on the person’s weight, how much was taken, etc. Led is a highly addictive drug, more so depending on what form you take and how pure the Led is. Research has shown that the intravenous and pill forms are much more addictive than, say, the smoked form. (Also, they’ve noticed that those drinking it with alcohol tend not to use a lot since it changes the flavour of the drink too much. Yep, this is where all the tax money in Doramraz goes to. Useful studies, eh?) Short term after-effects include but are not limited to: nausea, shakes, blurred vision, migraines, increases in heart rate and blood pressure, chills, sweating, seizures, loss of appetite, loss of mobility, erratic moods, drowsiness, slurred speech, constricted pupils, vomiting, constipation and extreme changes in body temperature. Long term effects may include but are not limited to: memory loss (due to damage to the cells that produce serotonin), insomnia, collapsed veins, liver disease, and infection of the heart valves. Since there are other additives added to Led, some don’t dissolve properly, which may cause clogging in the blood vessels. Also, tolerance develops with repeated use. Withdrawal symptoms are comparable to what one might experience with hard drugs.

Das grosse Problem bei LED-Lampen ist ihre Punktbeleuchtungs-Eigenschaft (Spot). Mit einer LED schafft man es (zur Zeit noch) nicht, einen Raum völlig auszuleuchten. Auf der INFA 2012 wurde mit der YanLED die erste echte LED-Glühbirne vorgestellt.Sie leuchtet nicht nur wie eine Glühlampe, sie strahlt auch im gleichen warmen Licht, dass man das Gefühl hat, eine echt klassische Glühlampe vor sich zu haben.Bis sie allerdings in den Handel gelangt dürfte es noch ein paar Monate dauern. Bei LEDs ist einerseits auf die Anzahl und andererseits auf den Abstrahlwinkel zu achten. Momentan liegt der Schwerpunkt auf Strahlern, es gibt aber auch einige Angebote in einer glühbirnenähnlichen Form (Rundumstrahler). Leider sind die bisherigen Angebote von LED Rundumstrahlern (also glühbirnenähnliche Form) nicht überzeugend, hier wird der Verbraucher oft für dumm verkauft. LEDs in Strahlerform hingegen (wofür die LEDs ursprünglich entwickelt wurden) sind eine sehr gute Alternative.
