Throughout high school and college, she listened mostly to Jazz, Herbie Hancock, Keith Jarrett, and Lee Ritenour. Olling majored in Music Performance at Jinai College in Japan then moved to Los Angeles to study Jazz and R&B at the Dick Grove School of Music. Olling has two sons, named "Ocean" (b. 1992) and "Kai" (b. 2006), as well as a sister and a brother. She used to own two pet rats. Her favorite foods are sushi, green tea ice cream, and chicken kebab.

  • Olling was born in Shimisu-City, Japan. She started playing the piano at the age of five. Throughout high school and college, she listened mostly to Jazz, Herbie Hancock, Keith Jarrett, and Lee Ritenour. Olling majored in Music Performance at Jinai College in Japan then moved to Los Angeles to study Jazz and R&B at the Dick Grove School of Music. After graduating, Olling played with local bands and began touring with Rick James, Chaka Khan, Teena Marie, Everette Harp, Ali Woodson, Rebbie Jackson, Gladys Knight, All 4 One, and Pink. She has also performed with Lee Ritenour, Luther Vandross, Tom Scott, Eric Marienthal, Sheila E., and Peabo Bryson among others. In 2000 she released her first album, "Noriko's Love Potions." In 2003 she co-founded Angaza, an all-female jazz / funk band. Olling has two sons, named "Ocean" (b. 1992) and "Kai" (b. 2006), as well as a sister and a brother. She used to own two pet rats. Her favorite foods are sushi, green tea ice cream, and chicken kebab.
