| abstract | - Andy Bartholomew was the partner of Ben Coombs - an old friend of Marcus Dent. Marcus and ex-boyfriend Sean Tully (and their respective current partners) had been invited to Andy and Ben's reception which was held at Nick's Bistro in June 2013 - following their civil wedding ceremony. At the Bistro, Marcus attempted to cover up his relationship with Maria Connor, however ex-boyfriend Sean began to stir things up which forced Marcus to reveal that he was now straight. Disappointed because of what they had all been through together, Ben and Andy began to attack Marcus and Maria's relationship. Fed up with their criticisms, Marcus left the reception.
