  • Jack Carr is a former NASCAR driver from Atlanta, GA. He competed in two Sprint Cup Series events in his career. Both of those races came in 1950, when Carr debuted at Darlington. He completed just a few laps in that race before finishing a dismal 76th. Despite more issues at N. Wilkesboro, Carr was able to end his career with a much better 25th place effort.
  • Jack Carr was an American animator and voice actor. Carr is also credited with naming the cartoon characters Tom and Jerry when Hanna-Barbera had a naming contest amongst the staff; Carr won the $25 prize The Art of Hanna-Barbera: Fifty Years of Creativity, Ted Sennett. Hanna and Barbera were said to be unhappy to have their characters named after a popular drink of the time, but history later proved that names having dual associations are the most popular as they are easier for the public to remember Carr family lore.
  • Jack Carr (May 17, 1906 - February 2, 1974) was an American animator and actor. He is best known as the voice of Buddy in Looney Tunes, and as the inspiration of the naming of the Hanna-Barbera characters Tom and Jerry.
