- Deranged is a Canadian-American made in 1974 and directed Alan Ormsby and Jeff Gillen Is is also known by the title Deranged: The Confessions of a Nerrophile in the USA It is a low-budget movie that has since become something of a cult film and is based on the life of Ed Gein The title is however misleading since Ed Gein never experimented with necrofilia although a necrophile is also defined as na obsessive fascination with death and corpses. The movie disappeard after its release in 1974 and was later rediscovered in Florida in the mid 1990s.

- Deranged is a 2014 American Psychological Horror film written by Guillermo Del Toro and Ted Elliot and directed by Kris Moyes starring Bryan Cranston, Christoph Waltz, Kelli Garner, Scarlet Johansson, Joshua Bowman, Vanessa Hudgens, Channing Tatum, Rupert Grint, Evan Ross, Kenzie Dalton and Emilia Clarke. The film incorporates an incredibly different story to the original in the terms of the contending victims and the focus being mainly on the killer himself though retains the faithfulness the original had to the real life Ed Gein. Del Toro a fan of the original 1974 gory motion picture drafted his script for the remake back in 2009 and finished a final submitted draft by April 10th, 2012. The film was then greenlit and went into immediate production as of May 13th, 2012 securing Paramount Pictures and Film District as its' distributors. Australian music video and City Limits director Kris Moyes was hired by Del Toro on April 23rd, 2012 to serve as the director of the motion picture not knowing of the original at all and only being familiar with The Texas Chainsaw films, Psycho and the Silence Of The Lambs. The film is slated for worldwide theatrical release on March 24th, 2014 though a pre-screening will commemorate on March 16th, 2014 at the Toronto, Spanish, Tribeca, New York, Cairns and Los Angeles film festivals.

Jae Pil se da cuenta de que eso fue lo infecto el agua potable llegando a la conclusión de que todo se trata de una conspiración. Mientras tanto su hermano Jae Hyeok está buscando desesperadamente la medicina, porque su esposa e hijos están presentando los mismos síntomas que las víctimas. A través de Jae Pil se entera de que existe un almacen que contiene la cura potencial en miles de dosis, por lo que se aventuran a su búsqueda.
