  • The Luptwick Family is an extinct Pureblood family mentioned by Lance in A Simple Twist Of Fate. Lance Potter: "The Luptwick Family went extinct, in the male line, at Christmas '77. Slaughtered by Voldemort in a ruthless rage. One of his last killings too..." Hermione Granger: "But, why? What did they do that was so bad?" Lance Potter: "They believed that Muggles and Wizards could successfully co-exist together; Voldemort did not... so he slaughtered them; father, mother, son - wiped the entire family name into extinction. Only the daughter, Lily, survived." — Lance and Hermione

Lance Potter: "They believed that Muggles and Wizards could successfully co-exist together; Voldemort did not... so he slaughtered them; father, mother, son - wiped the entire family name into extinction. Luptwick, the last male Luptwick, was killed along with his parents in the Christmas of 1977, during his second year at Hogwarts. Lily, Luptwick's elder sister, survived due to being in America with her grandmother for the Holidays. She later married Dominic Stringfellow, the future Baron Stringfellow, with whom she had a son, Dennis, in 1982.
