Some of them believe that they have been invited by an old friend. Others believe that they have been hired by a rich man.. When they arrive to the island, they meet the last two guests that have been invited. In each one’s room, there is “Ten Little Indian” poem about ten boys that die in unusual way. Besides, there were ten little indian figure on a table and everyone saw them. A conversation between the guests lead them to realize that no one knows who is this guy that invited them and no one has seen him before. His name appears to be Mr. U.N. Owen. After they had their lunch, they heard a voice reading a list of accusations that each one had committed. Each one of them is accused of murdering. One by one they share the dark side of their wicked past. After a while of talking and confusion, one of the guests chokes on poisoned drink and dies, just as the poem says. From here on, the guests realize that the crimes are held according to the “Ten Little Indian” poem. Also, when each one gets murdered, one little Indian figure get disappeared. By the end of the story, all ten guests have been killed. Then the police come over after they saw some SOS signs by the last three guests before they were murdered. But it was too late. The police were puzzled with this mystery. However, later they find a letter written by one of the guests, Judge Wargrave confessing and explaining that he killed them because he wanted to punish them. His entire life he had two contradictory desires: one for justice and the other for killing. He found nine guilty people and sent them to the island. Using one of the guests, Dr. Armstrong, they faked his death in order to find out who was the killer. Then, Justice Wargrave continued his game by killing the doctor that helped him and the rest of the guests on the island. Once everyone was dead, he wrote this letter of confession, sealed and threw it into the water. He wanted the police to know how he killed them. Then he killed himself, since he knew that he’ll die anyway from a disease.
