  • The wind was howling throughout Seireitei. It was the darkest of nights. The lights of the city illuminated the sky, however. The full moon was in the sky, shining down upon the city, with its large skyscrapers basking in the glow. For some reason, the city remained silent. Though a solitary figure stood on the top of a skyscraper, watching over the calm. Their golden piercing eyes focused upon a sole target and that target alone. But first...It was time for the cat to be thrown out of the bag. A certain devil woman had to make her true motives known. And this figure would stop at nothing, nothing to make sure that justice was served. The time was ripe- first, for an old friend who was corrupted by jealousy. Then, for their dearest friend, one who's been with them through thick and thin. Then, for their most precious person; someone who's not of this world anymore, but the figure was hellbent on restoring them to normal, no matter the cost. "...Devil woman, the act is up." Merrily wandering thought the streets, a certain devil woman sung. Singing, "Singin' in the Rain" in an incredibly eerie tone, she waltzed without a care in the world. Of course, a certain someone would put an end to that. He knew of the devil woman's closeness with his most precious person; in fact, he was the only person she actually gave a damn about. Though she was deceptive and cunning, she had a soft spot for him. As did he. But this was taking far too long. Things needed to be sped up considerably. He could out-gambit the most manipulative of them all. All for one goal. "...Devil woman. You and I both want the same thing. It's his revival. Then...why must you continue to keep that girl in the dark about Nitsuku?" Mitsuru Inazuma asked, standing in front of Nika Kazorem. Raising her head, the supposed Arrancar responded with a smile, "...I would prefer it if I could get my job done before hand, Mitsuru~" Mitsuru's eyes widened in shock, retorting, "...Your job? ...So, this isn't just random acts of cruelty? Hmph. How beyond you." The air was tense, yet neither dared to attack. To attack would be to sign a death warrant in such a situation. Despite the droplets of water descending from the dark heavens at a mile a minute, both Mitsuru and Nika were unaffected, with the latter even keeping her cat-like smile, twirling a curl of her hair nonchalantly. "Mitsuru~ A dead person shouldn't even need to worry about my goals, should they? So why are you so inclined to continue to be a spanner in the works~?" Mitsuru clicked his tongue, not caring about his construction. Mitsuru Inazuma was Mitsuru Inazuma, and that's all that mattered. "...Yes, it's true I'm dead. I died in that car accident several thousand years ago. Back then, I was a Human. ...Because of my mother's refusal to let go of the past, I was brought back from death's door...As this. I'm not a spiritual being. I'm not Human. I don't belong anywhere. I am a being who stalks the night, someone who cannot enter Soul Society as a mere soul, and someone who can't return to humankind. I thought that I could never become like any of them. My past would dissapear and nobody would know that I existed. But that person...Ever since that moment, he made me realize something. I still have a tomorrow; that my despair could become hope. That's why I'm still struggling to fight for that person. This isn't something you can sum up with any philosophy. I'm a dead person fighting for my tomorrow. In that way, I'm truly alive in a sense." "...You're starting to annoy me, Mitsuru~ Though I'll keep you around. Gai seems to like you, after all~ ...But what do you want, exactly?" Nika asked, as if intimidated by Mitsuru's presence. The recent re-aqusition of his Soul King powers had upped his already significant threat level. "...I want you to destroy Shichitenhakki." Mitsuru replied, bluntly. It was something more than that, though. "...I want you to explain everything to Agito Kishima. It's said that once all four Tenjōgekido are together, they will produce an monsterous amount of spiritual energy that can even bring the dead back to life. You and I both want the same thing." Nika merely smirked, responding, "…I'm right, aren't I~? Everyone's just looking out for themselves~ I'll use any means to meet my ends~" Of course, her flowery tone continued to raise suspicion. "...What is your true goal, anyway?" Mitsuru questioned, knowing that ninety-nine percent of the time Nika exposiated, it was a half-truth. "Oho~ I caused the ruin of old Soul Society for a reason. I want to gain all of the Desire Fragments from my fellow Tenjōgekido and become the vessel for the collective desires of mankind, becoming the Queen of Desire~" Queen of Desire? Those words rung a bell to Mitsuru. "...What do you mean? Queen of Desire? You're not making any sense as usual, devil woman." Mitsuru retorted, still skeptical. "...You see, we were created several thousand years ago through Kotoamatsukami, though we were quickly rejected. Kazuma viewed us Tenjōgekido as mere objects with no real life or value instead of sentient beings. So I decided to do something about that in accordance to myself. We rebelled under my orders. Though as they say, it's wise to ally with the strongest side, so I paired up with Kazuma to fight the other Tenjōgekido until he stabbed me in the back, leaving me for dead, that bastard. So I got my revenge. I gained the trust of my bretheren, and we used the combination of our reiatsu to revert the state of Soul Society back to the starting point. We never rebelled against Kazuma. Planting suggestions in the fool's head, we set up a world of silence. However, it was then that I met him. Something about Gai Nagareboshi...left an impact upon me. I don't know what, but I genuinely felt something that day." "...Unlike my breatheren, I've come to realize how pointless our quest of becoming complete is, because even that won't fill the void within us. ...It irks me, the rest of those fools remain completely unaware of this and I'm sick and tired of being a Tenjōgekido. I don't want to be whole, becoming complete is a moot point. It won't satisfy us, no matter how much we desire it to do so; I desire to be alive. Maybe...Just maybe, becoming the Queen of Desire will allow me to do just that. That's why...I won't give up. Even if it means going against that person's best wishes, I will become the Queen of Desire. Maybe then, I can be like you." In a sense, Nika and Mitsuru were eerily similar. Both craved the sensation of living; though they were at opposite ends of the spectrum of morality in order to get what they wanted. "...So, there is more to you than your annoyingness." Mitsuru smirked, unsure whether he should believe the devil woman or not. "...But now, there's something more important that your tragic backstory. It's telling the truth to Agito Kishima. ...Are you in or not?" Mitsuru asked, knowing that he and the devil woman were thinking the same thing. Nika felt cornered. As if she had no way to escape. She couldn't refuse. "...Alrighty~"
