It is organized by Stichting Chibicon (English: Chibicon Foundation), a Dutch non-profit organization. The first Chibicon was held in 2007. In contrast to most other large anime conventions, Chibicon lasts only one day. Partly due to this Chibicon attracts a generally younger audience than most other conventions.
