  • The unnamed Lawyer represented David Platt at the custody hearing over Max Turner against Callum Logan. He outlined Max’s difficult start in foster care but the stability he had gained in his life since David welcomed him into his extended family and the boy now had a sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. He further outlined Max’s ADHD diagnosis and the fact that David was the one who held the family together at the time when the boy's mother Kylie Platt was starting to fall apart. He summed up that Max was now a happy little boy, doing well at school and that was all due to David. Trouble began though Callum's lawyer gave a character assassination on David, based on information supplied by Bethany Platt. David interjected and tried to speak up for himself but the Judge wouldn’t allow it. When he continued, she order his lawyer to take him out of the room and only be allowed him back in again on condition that he would behave. The lawyer read David the riot act and was shocked to hear that the allegations made against his client were correct. Back in the court, the judge ordered a full Cafcass report and David was given interim custody of Max but Callum was given two overnight stays a week with another hearing set for the final adjudication when the two applicants would hopefully be able to come to an arrangement over the child’s living arrangements.
