rdfs:comment
  • Winged Assassin is the second episode of British television series Captain Scarlet And The Mysterons.
  • Winged Assassins are only encountered in the Pandemonium Fortress in Act V and, despite their size, are very dangerous opponents. They will often stalk the player, climbing from the cliffs of jumping from the chains, ambushing without warning. In melee combat, they deliver fast and deadly blows, and from mid-range, may jump on the player ferociously, stabbing them with even greater force and enraging (visible by their reddish glow), making their strikes even more powerful for a short time. They can killed while casting and recovering from their leap attacks, but cannot be killed while in midair. As of 2.4, they do not start the combat with leap. As of patch 2.4.3, they can be killed in air.

Like Rakanoth, Winged Assassins deal more damage with their leaps if they hit the enemy in the back — that is, if the player is facing away from them. They are often encountered in groups ranging from 2-5 in size (rarely more). To compensate for all this, Winged Assassins are slower than other enemies positioned as 'fast attack', and have small Life pools.
