On June 27, 2009, Landon Ferraro was selected by the Detroit Red Wings, 32nd overall, second in the 2nd round, at the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. Growing up, Ferraro lived in New York City, Los Angeles and Atlanta, before moving to the Vancouver suburb of Burnaby.
