Synopsis
  • Walt is walking by a jewelry story as it is being robbed. At first, he, nor the police, can find evidence on the suspects. After investigating as Bob Phantom, Walt shows the police where the diamonds are hidden.
  • On the beach outside a small village, fishermen find the dead daughter of one of their friends. Her body has been clawed and torn. They all vow to climb up to the castle of "the cat woman" to avenge her death. Ahead on the trail is Firefly . He too has discovered a body clawed too death. When the fishermen meet up with him, they accuse him of the murders. Firefly leaps up the hillside and knocks on the castle's door as Harley Hudson. Two doctors let him in. As he warns them of the coming fishermen out for revenge, one of them pulls Harley aside to explain how a biological experiment as turned the other doctor's daughter into a wild jungle girl. Firefly decides to stay until the mystery is cleared up.
  • Barbara Sutton discovers her father's diary and reads about how he was searching for the Ramm Ruby. During his expedition in South America, it is revealed that he died at the hands of the Panther Man. Against her mother's wishes, Barbara, and her cousin Joe Strong, head for the shores of the Islands of Cocos. Unknown to her, the Black Hood has joined the search in order to protect her. Once docked, Barbara and Joe head for a castle up the mountain. When they enter, out leaps the Panther Man. But another figure hurdles into the castle too – the Black Hood. The two lash out at each other, but the Panther Man escapes. It is revealed by the castle's keeper, that Barbara's Great Uncle Cooper is in prison on the island. They all visit Cooper for some answers, and once again, the Panther Man pounces on them. The Black Hood chases him outside, were they fight high on a cliff. The Panther Man leaps off, but Black Hood does not follow. Instead, the three companions walk down the river and find a hidden cave. At the end of the cave they find a giant stone statue with a bright ruby for an eye. The Black Hood dismantles it, and is suddenly entrapped in the statue's arms. At the same time, the dreaded Panther Man streaks in and attacks Joe Strong. Barbara is able to release the Black Hood from the statue's grip, by replacing the ruby eye. Now free, he goes after their foe and hurdles him against the cave's wall. Some loose boulders topple down. The Black Hood is able to twist away, but the Panther Man is not as agile. He is unmasked and revealed to be Barbara's butler who has followed them since their journey began.
