  • The unnamed Customer along with his sidekick were inside Jerry's Takeaway late in the evening having ordered kebabs. When Mel Morton, who was alone on the premises at the time, asked for the payment of £9.90, the two thugs started to kick-off, refusing to pay and were unfazed when Mel threatened to call the police. It was at this point that Eileen Grimshaw had also come into the takeaway, and Mel explained that the pair refused to pay for their food. Eileen suggested to them that they should go home and refrain from causing trouble but when they proceeded to bad-mouth her too, a seemingly invincible Eileen grabbed hold of the cheekier second lad and pressed him against the shop window. The pair eventually gave up with their menacing behaviour and ran off down Rosamund Street.
