  • After discovering that Zynk, Kadavaar's robot, had gone missing, the baron tracked him down to Granseal Island. Using his golem to force information from people, Kadavaar discovered that Zynk was hiding in the "tall building" and burst in to retrive him. The other people in the house, Bowie and Taya, attempted to rescue Zynk but were unable to fight the golem. Kadavaar noticed that Maximillian, the one who banished Zeon, was also in the room and murdered him, shortly after the old man was able to teleport the others to safety. Kadavaar began an operation to free Zeon from his prison. An archaeological dig beneath the town of Ribble uncovered a vast armoury from a forgotten civilisation, so Kadavaar used his connections with the King to take control. He then insisted to the image of Zeon that he had a plan to free him, namely a nuclear bomb in the Ancient Tower. In order to stop the Shining Force from foiling his plan, Kadavaar personally challenged a weakened Bowie to a battle, believing him to be suffering from a bullet wound. In his arrogance, he revealed his plans during the sword fight, but found his sword destroyed when Bowie launched a big attack. Kadavaar wished for a warrior's death, but Bowie refused to kill him. Instead, Kadavaar was able to yell one final warning speech.
