| abstract | - Admission Possible is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to helping promising, low-income students obtain admission to college. Founded in 2000 by Jim McCorkell and Christine Greenhow, the organization serves high school students in the Minneapolis/St Paul metro area. As of the 2007-08 school year, Admission Possible serves 1,200 students in 15 public high schools and charter schools in Minneapolis, St. Paul, Robbinsdale and St. Louis Park. The organization has won multiple awards, including the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits Innovation Award, and its founder and CEO, Jim McCorkell, was named an Ashoka Fellow. The organization is often recognized for its creative and efficient use of funding, as it uses AmeriCorps Members to provide direct support and guidance to the population it serves.
