He is best known as the vocalist, rapper, keyboardist, rhythm guitarist and record producer of Linkin Park, and his side project, Fort Minor. He also provides artwork, production and mixing for both groups.

However, after Fort Minor's first album, the project was put "on hold", although it was continued with the release of a single in 2015. It is sometimes debated whatever Moon Man should or shouldn't remix songs made by Shinoda because of his Japanese inheritance. Moon Man states that he won't kill him because "it's not worth his time", although he has also stated that he fucking hates Shinoda's constant "Emo-ness" and on occasion he makes fun of Linkin Park's song, "Crawling" (which is notorious for being being too edgy).
